How to configure Outlook for Mac 2016

 

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2016
  2. Select the Outlook menu in the upper left-hand corner
  3. Select Preferences, from this window click Accounts 
  4. Click the + button in the lower left corner and select Other Email from the list
  5. Enter the following information Click Add Account and close the setup window
    1. E-mail address: Your full e-mail address
    2. Password: Your e-mail password
    3. User name: Your full e-mail address again
    4. Type: IMAP
    5. Incoming server: mail.replaceyourdomainhere
      • Click to add a check mark for Use SSL to Connect (port number will automatically update to 993)
    6. Outgoing server: mail.replaceyourdomainhere
      • Click to add check marks for both Override Default Port and Use SSL to Connect
      • Change port number from 465 to 587
